Denise with Mask Making

Bears to Share’s mission is to help our community by making stuffed animals and fundraising to donate to children’s hospitals. Bears to Share offers community and volunteer hours, even though the COVID-19 crisis. Many members of Bears to Share have made many contributions by making masks. One of our highest contributors is Denise Le.

Denise Le enjoys making masks for Bears to Share, she enjoys giving back the community during a difficult time.

“Being able to work with Bears to Share these past few months on the mask-making project has made me appreciate the club a lot for what it’s doing. Bears to Share puts a heavy emphasis on giving back to the community, and the service opportunities that the club provides are truly meaningful and impactful.”

Denise wants to make a difference in her community, she continues to make masks and stay in the club.

“Knowing that I will make a considerable impact on the community and on individual lives keeps me motivated to keep sewing masks, even if sometimes, it can get difficult and time-consuming. However, I know that my time and effort is being put into something meaningful, and it’s comforting to know that I will be able to help those in need by making the masks.”

Helping the community can be a small or large task, it will make a difference. Denise illustrates this and she recommends joining the club.

“By volunteering with Bears to Share, I hope that the face masks will have an impact on the community—whether big or small—and help essential workers in need during this difficult time. I would definitely recommend this club to other people.”
